Vermicelli Festival Sweet

Ingredient's

  • Plain white vermicelli-one cup(50g)

  • White Sugar-half a cup(30g) roughly 3 tbsp

  • Milk-full cream milk(1 pint)

  • Cardamom Powder-half a tsp or fresh cardamom pods-5

  • Cashew nuts-10g

  • Freshly blend pistachio powder -2 to 3 tsp 

  • Golden Raisins-10g

  • Unsalted melted organic Butter-100g or ghee 

  • Saffron-half a tsp soaked in 1tsp of warm milk for garnish

  1. Heat non- stick frying pan with 2 tbsp of  butter or ghee in medium flame .Once the butter is melted add in vermicelli to fry for 5 to 10 minutes and keep it one side in a bowl to cool.

  2. Heat the milk in different pan to boil for 10 minutes .Meanwhile heat a frying pan in medium flame with 100g of melted butter or ghee . Add in cashew nuts, golden raisins fry till slightly golden in colour keep some on the side to garnish in the end .Add in fried vermicelli, Cardamom powder and let it cook for 10 minutes by adding 20 ml of water put the lid on keep mixing now and then .

  3. After 10 minutes add in sugar check the vermicelli cooking nicely. Add in the boiling milk mix well you should be getting lovely aroma .Keep cooking until you know the vermicelli is fully cooked .Now add in saffron milk to give our payasam the divine look Switch of the flame .

  4. Add fried cashew nuts, raisins, sprinkle some pistachio powder  into cooking vermicelli sweet and switch of the heat. Serve in a nice bowl by adding fried cashew nuts, raisins, pistachio powder  on top.

  5. Now add in saffron milk for garnish and offer to the god first and enjoy with your family and friends . 

  6. Beautiful looking festival vermicelli sweet is ready to enjoy hot hot or cold.
