Andhra Curry Leaves Tomato Rasam
(Tomato Charu)

Ingredient's

  • Plum Tomato -250g

  • Curry Leaves -2 stems

  • Mustard Seeds -1tsp

  • Cumin Seeds -1tsp

  • Chana dal-1tsp

  • Dry red chillies-2

  • Small onion-cut into small pieces

  • Garlic -2 cloves

  • Rasam Power -1tsp(MTR rasam powder)                

  • Olive Oil -3tsp

  • Black Pepper -1tsp

  • Turmeric Power 1tsp

  • Jaggery-1 tsp

  • Water -1 cup

  • Coriander Leaves -2 stems Garish

  • Salt -1tsp

  • Ghee -1tsp(optional)

Method;

  1. Chop the tomatoes ,onions, coriander into small piece's.

  2. Heat the pan with olive oil in medium flame.

  3. Add in curry leaves, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, tomato's, .Let it sizzle a bit. Now add black pepper, garlic, salt, turmeric power, rasam power, jaggery Mix well and let it cook with lid on for few minutes until tomatoes becomes soft.

  4. Now add One cup of water.

  5. Leave the lid half way and let it boil for 20 minute's

  6. Optional add in fresh ghee .If you want for extra flavour.

  7. Garnish with coriander and switch of the flame .

  8. Hot hot tomato rasam is ready for you to enjoy on its own or you can have it with hot plain rice with adding bit of ghee.

Enjoy the rasam with hot rice .And put bit of ghee for extra taste. Rasam is very good for digestion with it of black pepper adding.
