Roasted Chana dal or Bengal gram chutney
(Putnala pappu pachadi)
Ingredients:

Bengal gram or roasted chana daal or split gram daal-80 grams
-
Fresh coconut pieces-5 to 6
-
Green chillies-2
-
Garlic cloves-2
-
Olive oil-2 tsp
-
Sugar-1tsp
-
Salt-1tsp
-
Coriander -1 stem
-
Curry leaves-1 stem
-
Mustard seeds-1tsp
-
Dry red chillies-1
-
Cumin seeds-1tsp
-
Tamarind -1tsp
-
Asafoetida-half a tsp
-
Water- half a cup
Method:

First blend the begal gram, green chillies, garlic, coriander ,tamarind ,cumin seeds, salt, sugar mix well .

Now add in coconut pieces blend again adding little water to make it into paste.

Now heat a frying pan in medium flame .add in oil .once the oil been heated .

Add in mustard seeds, curry leaves, ping powder(asafoetida) few cumin seeds, one clove of garlic been crushed in pestle and mortar .
Putnala pachadi is very simple to make same time its very tasting pachadi to have with all the south Indian dishes like idil ,dosa, upma
