Chickpea kurra(curry)

Ingredients

Olive oil-5 tbsp

Small plum tomatoes-160g(small pack)

Onion-1

Cumin seeds-1 tsp

Mustard seeds-1 tsp

Garlic cloves-2
-
Curry leaves-1 to 2 stems
-
Coriander leaves-1 to 2 stems

Garlic and ginger paste-1tsp
-
Salt--1tsp
-
Turmeric-1tsp
-
Tamarind-small block
-
Chilli powder-1tsp
-
Chickpea-1 or 2 canes
-
Garam masala powder-1 tsp

Coriander powder-1 tsp
Method;

Chop the onion, tomatoes, garlic, coriander into small pieces keep it on a side .Soak the tamarind in warm water for 5 minute in a bowl .Rinse the chickpeas in a colander keep it on side

Now heat a frying pan in medium flame .Once the oil as been heated add in onion, garlic, cumin seeds, mustard seeds mix well add in garlic & ginger paste wait until the onions are fried

Add the tomatoes and mix about 10 minutes. Now add in tamarind by squeezing the pulp to get think paste to add into the curry .

Once they've cooked, add the chickpea, turmeric, chilli powder ,garam masala ,coriander powder, salt mix well let it all cooked

Put the lid on and simmer for 20 minutes.

Check the chick pea is fully cooked switch the flame .

Now garnish with chopped coriander leaves
