HomemadeAuthenticPoori ,Chapati,paratha

Ingredients:

  • Chapatti flour(atta)-5 cups(chakki atta 300ml )or any your choice of flour 

  • Salt-1 tsp

  • Semi skimmed Milk-1/2 cup(optional)

  • Olive Oil -3 tsp

  • Sunflower Oil -500ml for poori

Method;

  1. ​Take a deep bowl to make a dough by mixing wheat flour, salt, milk, water and olive oil together to make a good smooth round dough. Keep it one side to rest for 30 minutes .

  2. Same dough you can make poori, chapati's or stuff Gobi or Aloo paratha also.

  3. Now take the dough out after resting for little while. 

  4. Make dough into small ball's with your hands.

  5. Keep a plate with extra flour to dip the ball in to role out .

  6. Keep the rolling pin and flat chopping broad .Dust the broad with some flour .

  7. Try making small ball's dip it in bit of flour .make small flat circle's (or) rolled out and cut out in small circles.

  8. Meanwhile heat sunflower oil in a deep pan with medium heat.

  9. Until the oil is hot enough to deep fry Poori's into golden brown and nicely puff up. Switch of the flame 

  10. Enjoy hot hot puff Poori's with family.

  11. Same dough you can make hot chapati making small balls into big square by dipping in bit of  flour  and fold it roll again to get nice layers when you eating .Heat the flat frying pan in medium flame .

  12. Once the pan is heated up add in chapati fry one side adding bit of oil around the chapati .Once you see small bubbles on top turn it over to other side .Until you see nice golden colour patch on top your chapati are ready to eat .Add bit of ghee or butter optional on top and enjoy with any of your favourite curry 's.  

  13. Same dough you can also make stuff paratha .simply by grating cauliflower and mix 1 tsp of salt, coriander power 1 tsp ,black pepper 1 tsp ,fresh chopped coriander 2 stems, chat masala powder 1 tsp ,mix all together keep it on side .

  14. Make a small balls with dough role it into circle by dipping in the flour and role now add 1 to 2 tsp of cauliflower stuffing in the middle and slowly fold all the corners without stuffing coming out .Now slowly role over to make it flat .

  15. Keep the flat frying pan on the heat in middle flame .Once the pan is heated add in paratha and add little bit of oil around the paratha wait until you see golden brown colour on top and turn it round to other side to fry .Once both side are nicely fried add touch of ghee or butter optional and enjoy the hot hot paratha .switch of flame .

  16. Enjoy having it with simple yogurt mixing pinch of salt ,black pepper. paratha will taste yummy .especially homemade garam garam.

Mostly poori',Roti, Paratha are accompanied with potato curry (or) chick pea curry that you can fry making from my recipes . both my kids always love to make poori's with me. its fun family dish to share.
